Wanda Lee Miller Lester, 81, of Ashland, Ky., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.
Mrs. Lester was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Morehead, Ky., a daughter of the late Willard and Ally Caskey Miller.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Virgil H. Lester Jr., in 1997; and a son, Edward Cameron Lester.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Westwood Church of God and 13th Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Stephen (Mary) Lester and Paul (Cokie) Dixon, all of Ashland; three daughters, Jayne (Phillip) Sergent of Ashland, Nancy Ellen Whitley of Frankfort, Ky., and Donna Purvis of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Revs. Robert Queen and Chris Keeton. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
