Dr. Herschel A. Fouts Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1917 - 2008 Dr. Herschel A. Fouts - 1917-2008 Dr. Herschel A. Fouts, 91, of Ashland, Ky., died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, in Kings Daughters Medical Center. He was born Jan. 31, 1917, in Russell, Ky. He was a retired optometrist who served the community for more than 40 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ashland and a former member of Poage Masonic Lodge 325, F&AM, and the Ashland Rotary Club. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and Southern Optometric University in Memphis, Tenn. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Virginia McDavid Fouts of Ashland; a son, David Fouts and wife Lauren of Georgetown, Ky.; two stepgrandchildren, Elliott and Ashley; and a number of loving nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to www.steenfuneralhomes.com.
