Charles Vincil "Tommy" Withrow, 74, of Ashland, Ky., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mr. Withrow was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Olive Hill, Ky., a son of the late Clayton and Ann Thompson Withrow.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Fultz Withrow; two sons, Charles Logan Withrow and T.J. Withrow; a brother, Robert Withrow; and two sisters, Mary Alice Flannery and Beulah Rice.
He was employed with Armco Steel Corp. for 38 years, was a U.S. Army veteran, and was a member of the Eagles.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Jack W. (Bud) and Connie Withrow of Catlettsburg, Ky.; a daughter, Tomma Lue Withrow of Marshall, Ill.; two grandchildren, Kimberlee D. Smith of Marshall and Jack W. Withrow II of Flatwoods, Ky.; a great-grandson, Benjamin Thomas Smith of Marshall; a special friend, Linda Stidham of Flatwoods; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Gary Sparks. Burial will be in Garvin Ridge Cemetery.
