Anna Marie Savage Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1920 - 2008 Anna Marie Savage - 1920-2008 Anna Marie Savage, 88, of Flatwoods, Ky., formerly of Louisa, Ky., went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2008, in Oakmont Manor Nursing Home. She was born March 20, 1920, in Boyd County, Ky., a daughter of the late Everett and Ina Riggs Hicks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glen C. Savage; two brothers, Raymond Hicks and Joseph Hicks, both formerly of Ashland; and three sisters, Lucille McGinnis, formerly of Wurtland, Mildred Moore, formerly of Ashland, and Opal Hicks. She was owner and operator of the former Savage Grocery in Louisa, was of the Baptist faith and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Surviving are a brother, Ralph B. Hicks of Boyd County; two sisters, Pauline Wright and Janet Moore, both of Ashland; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2008, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Gene Masters. Burial will be in Palmer Cemetery in Flatwoods. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to www.steenfuneralhomes.com.

marie was a very nice person...i am glad to have known her for all these years...i grew up going too her store..even after closing the store i would stop and talk with her...she will be greatly missed..i offer my condolence to all the family..Diane Diamond Whitt
