Mr. Riley, (all that time at the Baptist Bldg. left me unable to call you O.D.!), I'm so sorry for your loss. You and Maxie are a beautiful couple. I'll never forget the first time you told me the story of how you won her heart. I was always inspired by how the mention of her name made your face light up. Some people do get it right and the two of you are an example of that. She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful spirit and I know you take comfort in the fact that you'll be together again.

Uncle O.D. I'm so sorry to hear of Maxie's passing and I'm so very glad that I have some good memories of the two of you. The first day we met you made me feel like I had been a part of your family all of my life. I'll never forget having dinner at your house and singing for you afterwards. We had church right in the kitchen of your home. Maxie's kindness and love for God and her family was remarkable. It's a sad time and I know that even the strongest in faith ask why sometimes but God was ready for Maxie and even though you don't think you'll be okay He knows you will. He has his arms wrapped around you and your family tighter than he ever has. I don't need to tell the man who has lived to serve God in ways that most people never do. I wish that I could be there with you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless you.
