Patricia "Patty" Crouch, 53, of Ashland, Ky., died Friday, May 31, 2002, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, following a sudden illness.
Mrs. Crouch was born March 24, 1949, in Huntington, W.Va., the daughter of the late Clovis H. Hurt and Stella Presley Hurt of Bellefonte. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Hollie Hurt.
She was the wife of James W. ``Jim" Crouch.
A former Miss Greenup County, she also was formerly Business and Professional Woman of the Year. She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church, where she was involved in the women's community Bible study, was an elder emeritus and was an adult Sunday School teacher.
A registered nurse, she was a head nurse at King's Daughters' Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital, and taught nursing at King's Daughters' Nursing School. She was graduated from the Marshall University School of Nursing.
Additional survivors include two sons, Hollie Crouch and his wife, Angela, of London, Ky., and David Marcus Crouch of Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Lucy Bo Bussey of Versailles, Ky.; and a 3-week-old granddaughter, Holly Catherine Crouch.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2002, at Community Presbyterian Church by Dr. Tim Jessen. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel and noon until time of service Monday at the church.
