Euel Ratliff (1931-2008)
Euel Ratliff, age 77, of Ashland, Ky., died Aug. 8, 2008 in Community Hospice Care Center following an extended illness.
He was born March 4, 1931, in Pikeville, Ky., a son of the late William D. and Causby Mullins Ratliff.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel and Daniel Ratliff.
He was co-owner of A & E Ratliff Heating and Cooling. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. He was an ordained minister and a member of Little Jewell Old Regular Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Tony Ratliff of Ashland; a daughter, Linda Cathey of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; sisters, Pansy Gibson of Marion, Ohio, and Esther Jeanelle Sturgill of Colorado; and two grandsons, Mitchell and Matthew Cathey of Elk Grove Village.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008 at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland and will be officiated by Brother Terry Bryant, Brother Junior Ruggles and Brother Milburn Slone. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
