Robert Emerson "Rob" Stidham, 49, died at his home in Lawrenceburg, Ind., on Dec. 29, 2011, after a long illness.
Rob was born Sept. 12, 1962, in Ashland, a son of Erma Dissinger Stidham of Erlanger and the late Harold E. Stidham. He attended Ashland schools and graduated from Paul G. Blazer High School with the Class of 1980. He was also a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University.
He was employed by Procter and Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio, for 27 years as a chemist, helping with eight patents. He enjoyed golfing and being with family and friends. He made many friends through work and church. He especially enjoyed helping coach his childrens sports (softball, baseball and basketball).
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Aylor Stidham; a daughter, Stephanie Stidham and son Nicholas Stidham, both at home; two brothers, Edward (Margaret) Stidham of Xenia, Ohio, and David Stidham of Huntsville, Ala.; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn (Jim) Roth.
He was an active member of his church, Dearborn Hills United Methodist of Lawrenceburg and served as its treasurer and sound engineer.
Visitation and funeral services were Jan. 2, 2012, at the church. Burial was in Hebron Lutheran Cemetery in Hebron.
