1928-2002
Beecher Bolt, 73, of Rush, Ky., died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mr. Bolt was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Boyd County, Ky., a son of the late Oscar V. and Ella Rucker Bolt.
He was preceded in death by one sister; and his beloved grandmother, Bessie Rucker.
He was retired from the U.S. Navy Army Corps of Engineers and was with the U.S. Navy Damage Control for 20 years. He was a World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War and Cuban Crisis veteran, was of the Protestant faith, and was a member of FRA, VFW, Sallsbury Sound Association and AARP.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Williams Bolt of Rush; two sons, Don and Ken; five daughters, Ann, Betty, Dana, Dorothy, and Luann; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by Ralph Tyo. Burial will be in Bolt family cemetery with a military service by the Olive Hill American Legion Post 138.
