Charles E. ``Chucky" Jackson, 77, of Ashland, Ky., died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002, at his residence.
Mr. Jackson was born Nov. 14, 1924, in Ashland, a son of the late Edward Brown and Edna Marie Allison Jackson.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mylinda Wright Jackson; and a brother, Robert Jackson.
A retired electrician for Armco Steel, he was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, and was a member of St. James AME in Ashland, American Legion France Leece Post, Top Hatters Social Club and Steelworkers Union #1865.
His survivors include two sons, Charles E. Jr. and Carol Jackson of Ashland and Carl E. and Lisa Jackson of Lexington, Ky.; two daughters, Brenda Crutcher and Glenda Jackson, both of Lexington; a sister, Katherine (Kitty) Mack of Middletown, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel by area ministers. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, at the funeral home.
