Bernice M. Zimmerman, 80, of Ashland, Ky., died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at her residence.
She had fought cancer for two years.
Mrs. Zimmerman was born March 10, 1922, in Russell, Ky., a daughter of the late Paul and Eliza Vaughan Wilson.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Mike Zimmerman, in 1993.
A graduate of Russell High School Class of 1940, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Ashland and was a homemaker.
Her survivors include her husband of 54 years, Robert J. Zimmerman of Ashland; a son, Robert Lee Zimmerman of Ashland; a brother, Charles Paul (Lois) Wilson of Wurtland, Ky.; and two sisters, Glenna Lowery of Flatwoods, Ky., and Bernadine Rogers of South Point, Ohio.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel by the Rev. Edwin Talley. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 tonight, Aug. 27, 2002, at the funeral home.
