Opal M. Walker, 88, of Ashland, Ky., died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, at her residence.
Mrs. Walker was born June 26, 1913, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Leonard C. and Cosby McComis Hogsten.
Her husband, Philip S. Walker, died in 1981.
She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Ashland.
Surviving are a son, Charles Philip Walker of Ashland; a brother, James C. Hogsten of Ashland; two sisters, Elizabeth Fultz and Wilma Watson, both of Ashland; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, at Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel by Pastor Richard Suman and Dr. C.J. Adkins. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 7, 2002, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be William Fultz, Robert Fultz, Geoffrey Hogsten, Michael Hogsten, Larry Wilson and Terry Castle.
