Orville ``Tank" ``Puny" Pruitt, 61, of Rush, Ky., died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell following a long term illness.
Mr. Pruitt was born Feb. 5, 1940, in Tipp City, Ohio, a son of the late Delbert and Evelyn Stapleton Pruitt.
He was retired from AK Steel. He attended Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church in Rush, and was a member of Fred M. Gross Masonic Lodge #953, Scottish Rite, Westwood Chapter OSE #569, El Hasa Shrine and Steelworkers Local #1865.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Daniels Pruitt; a son, Phillip Pruitt of Cannonsburg, Ky.; a daughter, Robin Hicks Stilgenbauer of Ashland; two sisters, Rita Queen and Shirley Hughes, both of Ashland; and four grandchildren, Kayla Hicks, Justin Pruitt, Joshua Hicks and Shelby Pruitt.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Keith Crum. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at the funeral home.
A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
