May Fannin Lockwood, 96, of Ashland, Ky., died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Center.
Mrs. Lockwood was born Sept. 16, 1906, in Bear Creek in Boyd County, Ky., a daughter of the late Isaac and Nettie Hazlett Fannin.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jay R. Lockwood in 1978; a son, Harold Lee Lockwood; and a sister, Hazel Rice.
She was a homemaker, was a member of South Ashland United Methodist Church, where she was a life time member of the WSCS, was a former member of Grassland United Methodist Church, and was a member of Mistletoe Chapter #144 Order of Eastern Star active member for 72 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Pat (Ralph) Consiglio of Ashland; five grandchildren, Nancy (Mike) Fisher of Columbus, Ohio, Debby (Bill) Spence of Cincinnati, Ohio, Steven (Joan) Lockwood of California, Tony (Carole) Consiglio of Franklin, Tenn., and David (Cherri) Consiglio of Lexington, Ky.; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. David Fultz. Burial will be in Fannin Cemetery.
