Mary Arnold Gesling, 93, of Ashland, Ky., died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
Mrs. Gesling was born Jan. 22, 1910, in Richmond, Ky., a daughter of the late John Willis and Margaret Jones Arnold.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Donald Gesling in 1987, and a son, John Frederick Gesling.
She was retired from the Ashland School System, was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Paramount Women's Association, and YWCA, attended Eastern Kentucky University and graduated from Stetson University in Deland, Fla.
Survivors include a son, William D. (Martha) Gesling of Ashland; two nephews, Tim Arnold of New York and Alec Arnold of Oklahoma; and a niece, Virginia MacGhee of Virginia.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ by the Rev. Ken Castania. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
