John Frederick ``Fred" Gesling, 59, of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of Ashland, Ky., died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, in Decatur, Ga.
Mr. Gesling was born March 6, 1942, in Ashland, a son of Mary Arnold Gesling of Ashland and the late William D. Gesling.
He was an architect and partner of Quantrell, Mullins and Associates and a graduate of University of Cincinnati.
He resided in the Atlanta area for 40 years.
Additional survivors include a brother, William D. ``Bill" Gesling Jr. of Ashland, and an aunt, Fern Gesling of Ashland.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Ashland by the Rev. Ken Castania.
The Gesling family will receive guests at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, 1930 Winchester Ave., Ashland, following the memorial service.
Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
