Marie Lewis, 83, of East Main Street, Greenup, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 27, 2012 in Woodland Oaks, Ashland, Kentucky.
Mrs. Lewis was born January 31, 1928 in Elliottville, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Talmadge and Maude Kegley Pennington.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Vincent Elwood Lewis in 2003
and infant son Vincent Shannon Lewis.
She was owner of the former Maries Beauty Salon in Greenup
Was a long time member of the First Baptist Church, Greenup
Was a 4-H judge and member of the Greenup Homemakers
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands

Marie was lovingly cared for by her sister Kathryn Martin of West Jefferson, Ohio and
Mag Kilburn and Carolyn Mason both of Greenup
Marie will be remembered for her sweet and humble Christian nature and her devotion to her family
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, January 30, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Greenup by Dr. Tom Melvin.
Burial will be in the Williams - Turner Cemetery in Elliottville, Kentucky.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Sunday at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup and one hour before the funeral on Monday at the church.
