1939 - 2012
James Monroe "Jim" Bryant, 73, of Lloyd, KY, went to be with the Lord with his family by his side, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY.
Mr. Bryant was born August 13, 1939 in Floyd County, Kentucky a son of the late Johnie and Cordelia Newsome Bryant.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson Jerrod Charles who passed away in 2005 and one sister Joyce Bryant.
In years past he worked at Ford Motor Company, while living in Belleville, Michigan. He also owned several businesses locally, Bryants Standard Oil in South Shore, Bryants Ashland Oil in Lloyd, Bryants Ashland Oil in Greenup and Greenup Tire.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Edna Gillum Bryant

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Greenup First Baptist Church in Greenup by Dr. Tom Melvin and Elder Terry Bryant.
Burial will be in Brick Union Cemetery, Lloyd, KY.
Visitation will be 6-9 pm Friday at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup and one hour before the funeral on Saturday at the church.
