Thelma Jo Scaggs Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1943 - 2012 Thelma Jo Scaggs 1943 - 2012 Thelma Jo Scaggs, 69, of Little Sandy Road, Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Monday, September 3, 2012 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mrs. Scaggs was born July 25, 1943 in Portsmouth, Ohio a daughter of Evon Stemmer Stone of Greenup and the late Irvin Stone. She attended Little Sandy Baptist Church in Greenup. She is survived by Her husband of 50 years Kelly Alton Scaggs 4 sons Kriss (Sarah) Scaggs Kevin (Cathy) Scaggs Kermit Scaggs Arnold (Hollie) Scaggs All of Greenup, KY 2 daughters Kelly (Robert) Boyles Maloneton, KY Karen (William) Dickens Greenup, KY 2 brothers Bill (Nancy) Stone Greenup, KY William Adams Largo FL 4 sisters Lucreta Shumaker Burlington, Ohio Dorothy Pib Claxon Greenup, KY Irvonna Bugg Jiminez Margate, FL Carol Ann Walters Greenup, KY 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews Two special friends Jamie Barnette Pedro, Ohio Angie Speta Greenup Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Dr. Tim Jayne and Bro. Wayne Stephenson. Burial will be in the Scaggs Family Cemetery, Greenup, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 9:00 pm Tuesday and one hour before the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

I was so sorry to hear about Thelma Jo's passing. I am sorry I could not attend the visitation or service. Please accept my sincere condolences and my prayers for the family at this time of loss. It is never easy to loose a loved one. May God be with you all.

WE WERE BLESSED TO VISIT WITH THELMA .I TOOK MY GRANDKIDS AND IT WAS A TIME THEY WILL NEVER FORGET DAKOTA MADE HER GET DRESSED TO GO TO TOWN SHE COULD NOT GO IN HER SPORTS TOP IT WAS A GREAT VISIT WE FELL IN LOVE WITH THE FAMILY WHEN WE WAS THERE THELMA IS RESTING IN HEAVEN MISS HER WE WILL BUT ONE DAY WE WILL BE WITH HER WITH LOVE VALERIE AND ALL MY KIDS

Heaven gained another special member member today that will be greatly missed her on earth. Thelma Jo was a very special person who spread cheer and joy wherever she went with her wonderful wit and humor. I count it a priviledge to have known her. She leaves a special place in everyone's heart who had the blessing of knowing her.
