Ray Eugene Riggs Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1943 - 2012 Ray Riggs 1943 - 2012 Ray Eugene Riggs, 68 , of Smith Branch Road, Greenup, Kentucky passed away Thursday October 18, 2012 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mr. Riggs was born November 27, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland a son of the late Lowell Walter and Orca Gilliam Riggs. He was a retired welder with 36 years of service from AK Steel in Ashland Was a United States Marine Vietnam Veteran In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 brother Walter Riggs 2 sisters Phyllis Sanders Clara Griffith He is survived by His wife of 39 years Martha Jo Allen Riggs 2 sons Stevie Riggs Louisville, KY Josh Riggs Greenup, KY 3 daughters Debbie Riggs Greenup, KY Kristie (Ronnie) Pierce Greenup, KY Cindy Riggs Bellefontaine, Ohio 2 brother Stanley (Connie) Riggs Russell, KY Anthony(Penny) Riggs Wurtland, KY 3 sisters Glenda Harris Greenup, KY Betty Tolliver Greenup, KY Shirley Riggs Pensacola, FL 6 grandchildren Kyle Arianna Stacey Alexis Joseph Gracie Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday October 21, 2012 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Bro. Harry Sanders. Burial will be in the Smith Branch Cemetery, Greenup, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 9:00 pm Saturday and one hour before the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Condolences may be made at reedfuneralhome.us

I'm sorry to hear about Ray. I worked in the pipe shop at AK and worked with Ray often. He was a pleasure to work with and we will be missed by all who knew him. The family is in our prayers. Jim Taylor
