Mrs. Bays was born June 28, 1927 in Greenup, Kentucky a daughter of the late Adam and Ella England Helton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Her husband Robert Lee Pud Bays 3 brothers Curtis Helton Elmer Helton Estel Helton 2 sisters Eunice Baldridge Bessie Bear 2 grandchildren Sabrina (Eddie) Bays Caudill Phillip Nichols Bays She is survived by 2 sons Russell Rusty Bays Ashland, Kentucky Clemont Buddy (Karleen) Bays Greenup, KY 2 brothers Clifford Helton Delaware, Ohio Burl Helton Florence, Kentucky 1 sister Virgie Damron Worthington, KY 5 grandchildren 10 Great-grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 15, 2012 At Reed Funeral home in Greenup by Bro. Danny Brown. Burial will be in the McGuire Cemetery, Greenup. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 9:00 pm Wednesday and one hour before the service on Thursday at the funeral home. My parents, Patty and Clyde Berkley, were good friends with Pud and Tootsie. They shopped at their grocery store when we were kids and they played cards together. They were great people. My granddaughter,Christina Miller , worked at Oakmount and thought alot of tootsie. And so did my daughter, Lisa Rucker, she is the dietary mgr. at Oakmount. I stopped in and saw her a couple of times. She will be greatly missed. With deepest sympathy. The Berkley Family.
