Kenny,( I am Paul Poplins oldest daughter) I remember when you and Uncle Rocky came to Massachusetts to drive us back to Kentucky. I also remember you all had those peacocks over was it Low Gap that you all lived? Uncle Rocky was one of the nicest people around although we had lost touch over the years He is sadly missed. Thanx so much for the memory.

As we grow older it seems most of us find ourselves looking back at those times we shared in our youth. Growing up in Argillite, Kentucky, did not provide a variety of things to do, especially if you were the youngest one in the bunch. Sometimes I would be included with my older brothers and our friends which included Rocky, Darrell, and Butch Poplin, and those trips were great fun when I got to go to Sonny's Drive In for a hot dog and shake. I will never forget the first time Rocky took me to the Bluegrass in Ashland in his '69 Dodge RT, and he never gave it a second thought when he placed that order for me knowing that he would have to pick up the tab because I just did not have the money to go there. And then there was those trips to Manuel Virgin's watermelon patch! Of course, there was the time he asked me to go to Boston. I was about 14 then, and when I told mom, she thought I meant New Boston, Ohio. Was she ever surprised to learn the next time she talked to me and I told her I was in Boston, Massachusetts. There is something great about being the youngest with older brothers and friends. It is with deepest sympathy that I say good-bye dear friend. Your many kindnesses will never be forgotten.
