Betty Tolliver
1941 - 2013
On Monday, May 13, 2013, Betty Lois Riggs Tolliver, 72, our beautiful Mother, of Smith Branch Road, Greenup, Kentucky, passed from this life and onto the next at her home.
Mrs. Tolliver was born January 12, 1941 in Greenup, Kentucky a daughter of the late Lowell and Orca Gillum Riggs.
She was a hardworking woman raised in the country. After graduating from McKell High School in 1958 she obtained a job with the FBI in Washington D.C.
Where she worked in the fingerprint department until she married in January 1959 to Willie Litewell Tolliver. She gave birth to 6 children and kept busy raising her children, gardening, raising cane, stripping tobacco and helping her husband build their home.
She believed in God and tried to always be truthful, honest and Christ like in her daily life. She loved art, poetry, books and getting together with her sisters and brothers.
She attended Little Rosa Old Regular Baptist Church in Greenup, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 :00 pm Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Bro. Kenneth Martin. Burial will be in the Tolliver Family Cemetery, Greenup, Kentucky.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 - 9:00 pm and one hour before the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
