Florene Garthee, 91 of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at her home.
Mrs. Garthee was born August 13, 1922 in Greenup, Kentucky a daughter of the late Robert Edward and Ethel Mae Whitt Cox.
She was a member of the Greenup Presbyterian Church
She was a wonderful wife and homemaker. She loved taking care of her children and was involved in all their numerous activities. She was very talented with decorating abilities and took much pride in her home. When the grandchildren came along they were the center of her life, she spent as much time as possible with them. She was always on call for babysitting duties. As years passed along came the great-grandchildren 11 in all who she loved dearly. She could never spend enough time with her children or their babies. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Greenup Presbyterian Church by Rev. Jack Edwards and Dr. Tom Melvin. Burial will be in the Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, Kentucky.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 am until service time at the church.
Reed Funeral home in Greenup are in charge of arrangements.
