1948 - 2013

Daryl H. Stevens, 65, of Lloyd, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Mr. Stevens was born August 8 1948 in Portsmouth, Ohio a son of the late George and Mabel Stone Stevens.

He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War in which he proudly served.

He was retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and gardening.

Most importantly he recently accepted Christ as his personal Savior and Lord.

He was preceded in death by

He is survived by

His beloved wife and sweetheart Diane McSweeney Stevens

He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and close friends

He will forever be missed by his 3 dogs and best buddies Tucker, Rupp and Bosco.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Lloyd, Kentucky by Pastor Jim Yates and Russ Foster. Burial will be in the Brick Union Cemetery, Lloyd. Military rites will be performed by Post 23 American Legion Honor Detail, Portsmouth, Ohio.

Visitation will be Monday 6:00  8:00 pm at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup and one hour before the service on Tuesday at the church.
