Mr. Akers was born December 29, 1939 in Ashland, Kentucky a son of the late Fred and Minnie Salyers Akers.

Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, December 16 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Phillip Litteral. Burial will be at Caroline Cemetery in Raceland, Kentucky.
Visitation will be from 11:00 1:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
