Phyllis P.J. Roberts McKenzie, 75, of Greenup, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at her home.
P.J. was born July 2, 1938 in Oldtown, Kentucky a daughter of the late J.O. and Inez Smith Womack.
She was owner and beautician of the former P.J.s Peoples Parlor in Portsmouth, Ohio
Owner of former P.J.s Hair Express in Raceland, Kentucky along with her daughter Suzy
She also worked several years at MasterCuts at the Town Center Mall in Ashland, KY
She was a lifetime member of the NRA
A former member of the Little People in Portsmouth, Ohio
A former member of the Portsmouth Womens Business Association
She was formerly associated with the Portsmouth Little Theater for years in Portsmouth, Ohio
A former member of the Womens Democratic Party in Portsmouth, Ohio
She served on the board of the Smith-Claxon Memorial Association for many years
She was a Kentucky Colonel
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by
Her grandparents Joe and Phoebe Stephens Smith
She is survived by

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Minister J.R. Gullett and Dr. Tom Melvin. Burial will be in the Smith-Claxon Cemetery, Oldtown, KY
Visitation will be Friday 6:00 9:00 pm and one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave., Ashland, Kentucky 41101.
