Paul Charles, 80, of Smith Branch Road, Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at his home with his loving wife Dorothy Daniels Charles of 59 years at his side. His son Jonathon (Debra) Charles of Lloyd and his daughter Rosanna (Gary) Caudill of Lloyd, KY was also at his side, along with 2 of his grandsons.

Although not at his side but in his heart is his daughters Josetta (Terry) Moore of Portland, TN, Alene Charles of California and Mary Sue Porter (Brandon) Cowles of Cleveland, TN. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren

He is also survived by

Mr. Charles was born February 21, 1933 in McVeigh, Kentucky a son of the late George and Hester Fiffe Charles.

Paul retired from Greenup County School System and Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital where he worked in the maintenance Departments. He was also owner of the former Charles Resturant in Lloyd, KY for 10 years.

He attended the Church of God. Pauls mission in life was to tell everyone to read the Bible and to pray daily. He served in the United States Army as a Sargent in the Korean War.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Wurtland Church of God by Bishop Tim French and Bishop Henry Montgomery. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East, Greenup County, KY Military rites will be performed by Portsmouth American Legion Post 23, Portsmouth, Ohio.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00  9:00 pm at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup and one hour before the service on Friday at the Wurtland Church of God.
