Louise Patrick Martin, 90, of Coal Branch Road, Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Friday, March 7, 2014 at her home.

Louise was born July 12, 1923 in Ironton, Ohio a daughter of the late Edward and Ottie Wilburn Patrick.

She was a longtime member of the Coal Branch Community Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.

She also attended the Lloyd Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by

1 grandson Jeffrey Scott Logan

She is survived by

5 sons

Kenneth Martin Jr. Greenup, KY

Pete Martin Lloyd, KY

James Robert Martin Annandale, VA

Terry Martin Greenup, KY

Rick Martin Frametown, WV

4 daughters

Sandra Lucas Topsham, ME

Juliette (Judy) Logan Lloyd, KY

Beverly Augusta Arlington, VA

Jennifer Martin Ivydale, WV

15 Grandchildren

24 Great-Grandchildren

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup. Her son Kenneth Martin will officiate. Burial will be in the Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd.

Visitation will be Monday from 6:00  9:00 pm and one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jeffrey Logan Scholarship Fund, 203 Rupps Way, Greenup, KY 41144

I'm so sad to hear that Mrs. Martin passed away. I know she is in Heaven looking down on us and smiling. I never met her but I feel as if I knew her well. She was a kind person and will be as one with the Lord. God bless her and her family. Love, Brenda - Houston

Louise's passing was very sad to hear, but we all know she is very happy in heaven with all the loved one's that has gone on before her. The Martin Family is in our Thoughts and Prayers.

sis martin i pray that you knew what a blessing you was to me .. i can still see you on the night i gave my life to god .i almost walked out but when u stood up and walked back to me i knew god had sent u .. u put ur arms around me and spoke a few words. and we both knew it was my night .. i loved u than and know ur singing a brand new song. and my son jayson still remembers u as his sunday school teacher and speaks highly of u.this is not good-bye but i will see u later my prayers to ur family and friends,and as they say our loss and heaven is much brighter now that u r there ... love u sis

I will always remember growing up and my summer vacations in Ky. I loved coming to your house and being with all the kids I will never forget your strawberry shortcake. The best I ever had. I will cherish these memories the rest of my life. Thank you for being a wonder Aunt Louise. You will be missed by so many.
