Curtis Frances Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1929 - 2014 Curtis Melvin France 1929-2014 Curtis Melvin France, 85 of Ashland, Kentucky formerly of Greenup, Kentucky passed away Friday April 18, 2014 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mr. France was born in Greenup, Kentucky a son of the late Curtis and Agues Martin France. He retired from Kentucky Electric Steel after 31 years. U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Member of St. Johns A.M.E. in Greenup, Kentucky He is preceded in death by one son Joseph Wesley France One sister Demetrius France Curry He is survived by five sons Pierre Pete France Reynoldsburg, OH Curtis France Ironton, OH Damon Core Huntington, WV Shannon Garrett Cleveland, OH Sheldon France Ashland, KY One Daughter Kathy France Ironton, OH Several Grandchildren, Great Grand Children and a host of nieces and nephews A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday April 28, 2014 at St. Johns A.M.E. Church in Greenup.

Hi. I would like to extend my condolences to you and your family. My prayers are with all of you. Curtis France was my Great Aunt Agnes Martin France's son. Her brother Donald Martin was my Great Grandfather. I've never had the opportunity to meet my family from Kentucky; only when I was a child in 1968.
