Alfred E. Sanders, 75, of Argillite, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky.
Alfred was born September 14, 1938 in Greenup County, Kentucky a son of the late Roscoe and Didama White Sanders.
Alfred was retired from the United States Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran and Purple Heart recipient
He was a retired welder with CSX Railroad.
He was a member of the VFW Post 1168, Greenup, KY
A member of AmVets, Greenup
A member of the American Legion Post 76, Raceland, KY

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Brian Coleman.
Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Graveside services and burial will be at 11:00 am, Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East, Greenup. Military rites will be performed by VFW Post 8850, Ironton, Ohio .
