1956-2014
Jennifer Joette Cosby, of Greenup, Kentucky, passed away June 24, 2014, surrounded by her family, at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 57. She was born on December 2, 1956 in Ashland Kentucky to the late Billy Charles Gillum and Ruby Justice Gillum. She was the oldest of four children and is survived by three siblings; Brenda Evans of Greenville, South Carolina, Rick (Janelle) Gillum of Huber Heights, Ohio and James (Terri) Gillum of Rush, Kentucky. She also survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Rodney N. Cosby, her only child, Inga Brandi Alyson Caudill and her favorite son-in-law P. Michael Caudill of Swansea, South Carolina.
Jennifer lived life to the fullest and was always busy working, enjoying life and helping others. She worked at Kings Daughters Medical Center since 1987. She worked hard and often late into the night, shaping the way executives received important data. She influenced decades of executive decisions while remaining in the shadows. She enjoyed traveling, food & wine. She visited every state in the U. S. and at the age of 50 became a world traveler. Her favorite place in the world was Rome, Italy where she enjoyed wonderful food & wine, art, history and culture. She was affectionately called a food snob by her daughter because she loved food & wine and traveled extensively always seeking wonderful and new cuisine. She was also a great cook. Her often requested specialty was pecan pie. No matter how many things she crammed in her life or how tired she was, she was always willing to stop to help someone. She was fair and generous to everyone and was eager to take care of others. Her friends and family appreciated her kindness, positivity, strength and honesty. Even when suffering from terminal cancer she sought to take care of others. When those close to her shed tears because of her illness, she comforted them.
Jennifer was baptized as one of Jehovahs Witness in 1970. She actively participated in the Regional Building Committee and had regular pioneered and auxiliary pioneered just a couple of months before her death. Her faith in the resurrection hope from the Bible was so strong that she did not fear that she was going to die but instead worried about the loved ones she left behind.
A visitation will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses at 2 pm on Sunday, June 29th. The memorial service will follow at 4pm. Condolences can be made at www.reedfuneralhome.us.
