Nellie G. Houck, age 95, of Columbus, died Monday September 23, 2002 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. Born October 1, 1906 in Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late John and Theodotia Stover Shaw. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband Syrus Lee Houck, a grandchild, 11 sisters, 2 Brothers and 1 infant sibling. She was a retired employee of the Gallipolis Clinic, and a former employee of Holzer Medical Center. She is survived by
2 Daughters: Wanda (Jerry) Cavinee of Sunbury, OH. and Virginia Trotter of Ahseville, OH. 2 Sons: Cyrus Ray (Maxine) Houck of Columbus, OH. and Robert (Sandra) Houck of New Albany, OH. 12 Grandchildren, and 15 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Thursday September 26, 2002 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Pastor Jim Lusher officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM.
