Annabel Warren, age 87, of Columbus, died Tuesday October 15, 2002 at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville. Born November 30, 1914 in Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late William Larry and Blanche Elizabeth Pine Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Myrl O. Warren, brothers, Roy, Walter, and Fred Smith, sisters, Nellie Smith, Helen Smith, and Clara Mae Cryder, and a niece Betty Joyce Strait. She and her husband owned and operated the Yellow Cab Co. in Gallipolis for many years. After Myrl's death she moved to Columbus where she mainly worked for Senior Options, helping many families in their time of need. Her last 4 years she lived at Villa Angela Nursing Center in Columbus where she enjoyed activities of all kinds and was known for her wonderful sense of humor, and jokes, but mostly for her uplifting ways to make everyone feel their best. She is survived by her brother, Frank (Joyce) Smith of Chillicothe, Special Sister in law, Margaret Drummond Smith of Columbus, Nieces, Sandra (Rich) Jenkins of Columbus, and Sharon (Victor) Duncan of Grove City, Nephews, Larry (Brenda) Cryder of Smyrna, DE., and David (Kristen) Smith of Worthington. Also surviving are several grand and great grand nieces and nephews, and many friends. She will be truly missed by all whose lives she touched and who loved her. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday October 17, 2002 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home 810 Second Ave. Gallipolis, with Pastor Jim Lusher officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
