Dorothy Ruth Kent, age 76, of Gallipolis, died Monday evening October 28, 2002 at The Arbors at Gallipolis. Born May 16, 1926 in Cabell County, WV., she was the daughter of the late Vernon Donnally and the late Flossie Jane Shafer Donnally Daniels. In addiditon to her parents she was preceded by 2 brothers Robert and Manson Donnally.
Dorothy was a retired waitress. She worked for many years at Rocchi's Restaurant and at other local resturants.
She is survived by: 2 Sons: Garry (Betty) Kent of New Albany, OH and Andrew (Diane) Kent of Nitro, WV., 6 Grandchildren: Garry Kent Jr., Brian Kent, Kevin Kent, Andrew Kent II, Jerry Kent, and Melissa Shull, 4 Great Grandchildren: Shawn Kent, Bradley Shull, Brandon Kent, and Joshua Kent, 1 Sister: Garnet Bridges of Newport News, VA.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Friday November 1, 2002 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home 810 Second Ave. Gallipolis with Rev. Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Beale Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-9 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions can be given to the charity of your choice.
