Charles W. 'Billy' Kerwood, age 71, of Gallipolis, died Sunday evening November 3, 2002 at Holzer Medical Center. Born January 29, 1931 in Plymouth, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Ralph R. and Anna Irene Devault Kerwood. In addition to his parents he was preceded by three Brothers, Tom, Ralph and Woodrow Kerwood.
Billy was a retired painter and a United States Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He is survived by: Three Sisters: Della (Freddie) Moore of Cheshire, Anna Belle (Richard) McCartney of Waverly, and Jerry Jordan of Gallipolis. He is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Wednesday November 6, 2002 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Pastors Alfred Holley and Eugene Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends my call at the funeral home on Tuesday (today) from 5-8 PM. Military Funeral Honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations.
