Grace Lucille Whitley Roach, age 99, of Gallipolis, died Sunday November 10, 2002 at her residence. Born July 7, 1903 in Lawrence County, OH. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Dora Burns Whitley. In addition to her parents she was preceded by a son and daughter in law Fred and Sylvia Roach, by a daughter Hilda Byus, 3 Granddaughters, and by four Brothers, Eugene, Clarence, Max, and Kent Whitley.
She was a retired employee of the Gallipolis State Institute, retiring in 1975.
She is survived by her: Son: Richard (Elizabeth) Roach of Gallipolis, Daughter: Virginia (Earl) Lewis of Nevada, 8 Grandchildren, 1 Step Grandson, and 7 Great Grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday November 14, 2002 in Pine Street Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8 PM.
Pall Bearers will be: Carl Ed Sibley, Joe Clark, Jim Saunders, Norman Mitchell, Richard James, and Gary Fisher.
