Concetta A. Mitchell, age 83, of Gallipolis, died Wednesday November 20, 2002 at Holzer Senior Care Center where she had been a resident for the past year. Born April 3, 1919 in Pt. Pleasant, WV. She was the daughter of the late William and Eldorado Williams Bell. In addition to her parents she was preced by her husband James D. Mitchell, by a brother Kermit Bell, and by two sisters Judy Roy and Georgia Armstead. Concetta was a retired employee of the Ohio Valley Bank and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Pt. Pleasant.
She is survived by her loving children, Connie Mitchell of Gallipolis, James (Lisa) Mitchell of Gallipolis, six grandchildren, Nicole Battle of Huntington, Jeff and Brian Mitchell of Gallipolis, Kimberly (Robert) Boler of Germany, James Keith (Shaun) Mitchell of Valdosta, GA and Keisha Williams of Columbus, GA, Nine Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday November 24, 2002 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Rev. Arius Hurt and Rev. Edward Buffington officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 6-8 PM.
