Robert Harold Haskins, age 73, of Gallipolis, died Monday March 17, 2003 at Holzer Medical Center. Born NOvember 19, 1929 in Gallia County, he was the son of the late Farrell and Geneva Betz Haskins. In addition to his parents he was preceded by 1 brother Lloyd Ray Haskins and by 1 granddaughter Andrea J. Haskins.
He was a farmer and also worked for several years at the Gallia Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service (ASCS). He was a former Addison Township Trustee, and a former member of the Kyger Creek Local School Board. He also was a proud member of the Republican Party.
He is survived by: Wife: Clara M. Evans Haskins who he marred in 1951; 1 Son: Robert M. (Kristi) Haskins of Gallipolis; 2 Daughters: Kay Higgins of Florence, KY; Melanie S. (Chris) Nelson of Bidwell; 3 Grandchildren: Jaime Higgins of Florence, KY; J.D. Nelson of Bidwell; and Jake Nelson of Bidwell; 1 Brother: Glen (Margaret) Haskins of Gallipolis; 1 Sister: Dorothy (Robert) Condee of Gallipolis; 1 Sister in law: Naomi Haskins of Gallipolis.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday March 20, 2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Pastor Robert Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-9 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
