James Edward 'Jim' Vornholt, age 86, of Hobe Sound, Florida and formerly of Gallipolis, died Wednesday March 19, 2003 at the Martin Memorial Hospital South in Stuart, Florida. Born May 7, 1916 in St. Mary's, Ohio he was the son of the late Hugo Herman and Hazel Wust Vornholt. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a daughter Paula Vornholt.
Jim was a retired salesman for the Johnson and Johnson Company, and a World War II Army Veteran. He was a member of the Gallipolis Elk's Lodge #107, and a member and Past President of the Sleepy Hollow Golf Club. In his earlier years he attened Capitol University.
He is survived by: Wife: Kathleen Mollohan Vornholt; 1 Son: Jim Vornholt of Jupiter, Flordia.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday March 25, 2003 at Centenary Cemetery, with Pastor John Jackson officiating. Military funeral honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations. Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home 810 Second Ave. Gallipolis, OH in charge of arrangements.
