1927 - 2003

Frd Jearl Rawlins, age 75, of Pt. Pleasant, died Thursday April 3, 2003 at Pleasant Valley Hospital. Born September 24, 1927 he was the son of the late Fred and Martha Justis Rawlins. In addition to his parents he was preceded by his Wife: Rosemary Long Rawlins, 2 Step Sons: Asa and Alan Rucker, a Brother: Harvey Rawlins and by a Sister: Erma Rawlins.

He was a furniture craftsman, and a United States Army Veteran. He was a former member of the Bidwell Church of Christ.

He is survived by Daughter: Karne (David) Walter of Gallipolis; 3 Grandchildren: Robert (Christine) Bates of Dayton, Tammy (Dorisl) McCoy of Gallipolis, and Wade (Stacey) Walter of Gallipolis; Brother: Charles (Bertha) Rawlins of Jackson; And many special friends at Twin Towers.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday April 6, 2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Rev. Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mercerville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 6-9 P.M. Military funeral honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations.

Karen and Family, I am sorry to hear about Fred. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have good memories of the days when he had the furniture store right below us and always had a story or two he could tell. Stay Strong
