Myra Mae Gilmore, age 101, of Scottown, formerly of Gallipolis, died Thursday April 3, 2003 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. Born May 11, 1901 in Lawrence County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clafford C. and Stella Jane Nance Watson. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband Ray Gilmore who she married on September 26, 1939 and who preceded her on November 3, 1969. Also preceding her are 2 Brothers; Harold and Ira Watson and 1 Sister; Katie Watson.
Myra retired in 1952 from the Columbus Bolt & Forging Company. She was a member of the Crown City Methodist Church, and attended the First Church of the Nararene in Gallipolis, she was a member of The Order of Eastern Star Linden Heights Chapter #463 in Columbus.
She is survived by: Niece: Mary Christian of Scottown, with whom she made her home for the last several years. She is also survived by several other Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday April 7, 2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Pastor Eugene Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery.
