Helen L. Vance, age 81, of Gallipolis, died Friday morning April 18, 2003 at the Arbors at Gallipolis. Born July 29, 1921 in Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Nellie Newman White. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her first husband Ernest Edward Earwood and by her second husband Robert W. Vance. Also preceding her were 6 Brothers and 5 Sisters.
Helen was a former employee of R. G. Barry Company, and attended the Chapel Hill Church of Christ.
She is survived by: 1 Daughter: Emma Jean (Eugene) Yates of Gallipolis; 1 Brother: Jesse (Louise) White of Gallipolis; 2 close friends: Dorothy Roach and Alice Cook both of Gallipolis.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday April 19, 2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Victor Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow in Mina Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday (today) from 12:00 until time of service.
