Nellie Mae Thompson, age 95, of Columbus, died Tuesday morning April 29, 2003 at her residence. Born February 8, 1908 in Crown City, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Maggie Kitts Hall. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband Orin F. Thompson, by 5 brothers, and by 1 sister.
Nellie was a retired inspector for the Christopher Inn in Columbus. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Gallia County, and attended the First Baptist Church in Columbus.
She is survived by: 5 Children: Loren (Patty) Thompson of Columbus, Marvin Ray (Ruth Ann) Thompson of Columbus, Eloise Waugh of Columbus, Harold Dean (Sarah) Thompson of Canal Winchester, and Judy (Wayne) McCallister of Washington Court House; 13 Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday May 2, 2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Rev. Gary Warner officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-9 P.M.
