William Owen Cantrell, age 58, of Lincoln Park, Michigan, passed away May 11, 2003 at Arbor Hospice Residence Center in Ann Arbor. Born October 2, 1944 in Gallipolis, he was the son of the late Owen O. and June Hartley Cantrell. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a brother Thomas Allen Cantrell in 1967 and a son David Cantrell in 1998.
He is survived by: His former wife, Carol Howe Cantrell of Gallipolis; Son: Paul (Beverly) Cantrell of Georetown, KY; Daughter: Emily Cantrell (Rick Mokros) of Lewis Center, OH; Two Granddaughters: Morgan and Madison of Georgetown, KY.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Gallipolis. Bill was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. having served in the Vietnam War.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday May 24, 2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday May 23, 2003 from 6-9 P.M. Military funeral honors will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday.
