Clara Louise Swisher, age 70, a resident of Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab Center, died Wednesday May 21, 2003 at Pleasant Valley Hospital. Born July 27, 1932 in Magnetic Springs, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Margaret Alamang Fogel. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband Eldon Wayne Swisher Sr.; a son: Terry Alan Swisher; 3 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, 1 sister: Wanda Whiting; 2 Brothers: David and Lee Fogel; and by 1 infant sibling. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by: 5 Children: Donald (Jane) Swisher of Chillicothe, Eldon Wayne (Jane) Swisher Jr. of Chillicothe, Paul (Diane) Swisher of Gallipolis, Olive Burchett (Clayton Marcum) of Gallipolis, and Grace (Timothy) Cox of Gallipolis. 23 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; 1 Brother: Paul (Phyllis) Fogel Jr. of Ostrander, OH; 4 Sisters: Georgia (Wallace) Reed of Tampan, Fl, Grace (Delmar) Gregory of Margate, FL, Sally (Noah) Claxton of Spring, Missouri, and Marjorie Wipple of Jefferson, FL; 1 Brother in law: Don Whiting of Delaware.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday May 27, 2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Pastor Willard Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
