Shirley Mae Harmon, age 90, of Gallipolis, died Friday August 15, 2003 at Holzer Medical Center. Born May 13, 1913 in Millersport, OH. She was the daughter of the late Moses and Dorcas Henderson Workman. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband Roy M. Harmon, by 2 Sons, Lewis and James Millard Harmon, by a daughter, Carol Jean Harmon, by 1 Sister and 3 Brtohers. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by 8 Children: Harold Eugene (Judy) Harmon of Gallipolis, Roy Elward Harmon of Gallipolis, Vaughita Bonnie (Junior) Godfrey of Petersburg, VA, Joyce Louise (Charles) McCormick, of Gallipolis, Mary Jane Wood of Vinton, Janice June McNealy of Industry, PA, Alice Frances Clagg of Patriot and Sandra Jean Syrus of Bidwell.; 19 Grandchildren, and several Great and Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday August 20, 2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-9 P.M.
Pallbearers will be: David Clagg, Gene Candaday, Christopher Harmon, James Harmon, Tony Syrus, and Brad Coon. Honorary Pallbearer will be Charles McCormick.
