William Harry 'Bus' Cromlish, age 92, of Gallipolis, died Saturday October 4, 2003 at his residence. Born November 5, 1910 in Gallia County, he was the son of the late Harry Max and Ora Lanthorn Cromlish. In addition to her parents he was preceded by his Wife: Virginia McQuaid Cromlish; Son: Roger Cromlish; 3 Grandchildren: Roger Lee Cromlish Jr., David Brian Cromlish, and Joseph Preston Rice; 2 Sisters: Hilda Pinkerman, and Getrude Cromlish; 4 Brother: Arnold, Howard, Kenneth, and Ernest Cromlish.

Bus was a United States Navy Veteran, and a retired Supervisor from the Gallipolis Developmental Center. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union.

He is survived by: 5 Children: Thelma (Carl Sibley of Bladen, Larry (Margaret) Cromlish of Gallipolis, Josephine (Jessie) Beaber of Gallipolis, Corina (Albert) Saunders of Gallipolis, and Hilda (Raymond Dale) Sanders of Gallipolis; 16 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, 12 Great Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, and 10 Step Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Anna Belle Martin of Springfield and Faye Manley of Middleport.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday October 7, 2003 at the Church of Christ in Christian Union, with Rev. Leland Allman officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 6-9 P.M. and Tuesday one hour prior to services.

Pallbearers will be: Jack Caldwell, John Sheets, Rick Saunders, Lonnie Sander, Nick Cromlish, and Todd Sibley. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Kyle Rice, Mike Sanders, Rod Sanders, Tim Sanders, and Lincoln Cromlish. Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Bus's grandchildren Lonnie and Annette, who are Missionaries in Uganda, contributions should be sent to the Church of Christ in Christian Union, Missionary Dept. PO Box 30 Circleville, Ohio 43113. Waugh-Halley--Wood funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
