Earl L. Spurlock, age 71, of Crown City, 'Went to be with the Lord' on Saturday October 11, 2003, at Holzer Medical Center. Born April 29, 1932 in McArthur, son of the late Ira and Nola Barcus Spurlock. Earl was a farmer and a United States Army Veteran.
He is survived by: Wife: Brenda Halley Spurlock of Crown City; 3 Sons: David Earl Spurlock of Cincinnati, John Robert Spurlock of Crown City, and Ricky Allen Spurlock; 2 Sisters: Thelma (Bob) Barcus of Gallipolis, and Connie (Ray) Waugh of Crown City; Mother in law: Mabel Halley of Crown City; 2 Aunts: Norma James of Gallipolis and Emma Jean Dray of Gallipolis; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday October 14,2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Pastors Ralph Workman and Pat Henson officiating. Burial will follow in Victory Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-9 P.M. Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations.
