Janice Kerns, age 64, of Gallipolis 'Went To Be With The Lord' on Sunday November 30, 2003, at Holzer Medical Center. Born October 15, 1939 in Wayne County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bertha Akers Frasher. In addition to her parents she was preceded by a daughter Teresa Hanna, and by 2 brothers, Larry K. Frasher and Dale Edward Frasher.
Janice was a former employee of the First National Bank, (later named The Central Trust BAnk), and was a member of The First Baptist Church in Gallipolis.
She is survived by: Husband: Marlin G. Kerns, who she married March 2, 1979 in Key West, Florida; 3 Sisters: Doris Jean Runyan of Gallipols, Rita (David) Davis of Hilliard, and Rebecca Lewis of Gallipols; 2 Nephews: Travis J. Frasher of Columbus and Steven Davis of Canton; 1 Niece: Andrea D. Davis of Columbus.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday December 4, 2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Pastor Alvis Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M.
